Tá Chegando BusSmart urban mobility in real time

About Tá Chegando Bus

Tá Chegando Bus is a Brazilian urban-mobility platform that helps passengers follow buses, lines, stops and arrival estimates — starting in São Paulo.

What it is

Tá Chegando Bus brings together tools for public-transport passengers: line lookup, routes, stops on the map, available vehicle positions, favorites, alerts, history, comments and ratings.

The product aims to turn waiting into predictability, because a passenger’s time matters. That is not a promise of an exact arrival time; it is a commitment to surface information as early as possible so people can decide with more clarity.

The problem we want to reduce

Many people still reach a stop without knowing whether the bus is nearby, whether the line already passed, or whether it is worth waiting. That uncertainty leads to delays and poorly planned trips.

Tá Chegando Bus supports that decision: look up a line, see what is available on the map, and use arrival estimates as a reference — always subject to traffic, operations and data gaps.

Who can use it

The service is for public-transport passengers: daily riders, students, workers, visitors and tourists who need orientation in São Paulo.

It is available on the Web, Android and iOS, with support for several languages. Some features — such as synced favorites, comments and alerts — may require an account and device permissions.

How it works in general

You search for a line or use the map, follow stops and, when data is available, see positions and estimates for that query. Favorites and alerts help you repeat frequent trips.

Transit information depends on external sources, connectivity and operating conditions. The app and website are a support tool, not a replacement for signs at the stop or the operator’s official channels.

Initial focus on São Paulo

Public operation starts in São Paulo, where the bus network is large and the need for information while travelling is high. That is the context in which the product is used and improved.

The architecture already considers expansion to other cities. We will only present new coverage when it actually exists; we do not announce cities or partnerships that are not real.

Useful information

We want a product that is clear on mobile and honest about limits: a bus may run late, but the information should arrive first. When data fails or disagrees with the street, the real trip context comes first.
