Why the city is the starting point
São Paulo concentrates a high volume of bus trips, transfers and travel-time variation during the day. That makes a phone-sized lookup useful between home, work, study or appointments.
Tá Chegando Bus is not the city’s official channel and does not replace the operator’s apps or displays. It is a support layer so passengers can query what is available about lines and stops.
What you find in the city experience
Line search, route and stop views, positions when the map is fed, favorites, history and, depending on the account, alerts and community posts.
Availability changes: a line may show up at one time and fail at another if the data source drops. That is an operational limit, not a hidden feature.
Residents, workers and visitors
People who already know a corridor use the app to shorten waiting. Visitors can use the map and search to get oriented, while still checking the surroundings and stop signs.
The website also publishes Portuguese guides on arrival estimates, line search and using the app. Those texts exist to explain transport on the ground, not to fill space with generic copy.
Future expansion
There is an intention to apply the same logic to other cities when data and operations exist. Until then, the honest scope is São Paulo.
