How Tá Chegando Bus works

A practical guide to looking up buses, reading arrival estimates and using the app in São Paulo — without promising what the data cannot guarantee.

1. Open the app or the Web version

You can use Tá Chegando Bus in the browser, on Android or on iOS. Web bus search is at /app/busca. In the stores, look for Tá Chegando Bus.

2. Search for the line

Type the number or the first letters of the line name. Results depend on the São Paulo data available at that moment. If nothing appears, check the spelling and try again; a missing result does not mean the line vanished on the street.

3. Check the route, stops and map

When a line is found, the map helps you place stops and, if vehicle positions are available, the bus. Use that to pick a boarding stop that matches your walk — not to cross the street without looking.

4. Read the arrival estimate

The estimate is based on available data, not an official timetable. Traffic, terminals, accidents or a bus that is not reporting position can change what you see.

Treat the displayed minute as a magnitude (“it is close” or “it will still take a while”), not as a boarding commitment.

5. Favorites and alerts

Favorites help you repeat lines you already use. Alerts, when available on your account, help you follow a line condition; they also depend on data and notification permission and can fail.

6. Community and account

Comments and ratings are other passengers’ opinions, not a technical report. For account-related features, use the contact channels if you need support.
